IFCO IMMIGRATION POLICY AND SUPPORT FOR BOYCOTT OF DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
IFCO is a human rights organization with a mission to stand with those oppressed and marginalized by racism, sexism and economic oppression and other genocidal actions, and seeks to collaborate in their struggles for justice. Among the highest priorities in these efforts is joining in struggles for justice for immigrants, migrants, refugees and other displaced persons, recognizing the oppressive racism historically and currently in domestic immigration policies of the United States as well as US support for oppressive immigration policies elsewhere. In this context we condemn the decision of the supreme court of the Dominican Republic to denationalize generations of Dominicans of Haitian descent. IFCO supports the boycott against tourism in the DR until such time as they reverse the policy of denationalizing Dominican citizens of Haitian decent through Law 168-13.
